hope theres enough weight on the rear end to keep the Rc51 power applied to the ground :)

cool stuff - the swing arm is a curiosity tho - does the blade pivot with the swing arm ? ( sorry- ive been riding sports bikes since i was 17  i have to ask these questions otherwise my 900 would disown me :p )

Awesome work, beauty render - and the fact u made two separate models is a major

AND - the flyer / slaes plackard is designed very well - so kudos for the presentation as well !!!

+9(my max)

Thanks for all the great comments everyone!

@ theClairvoyant - The engine is within the black area behind the driver (You can see the space on the image showing the bike without the cover on) so hopefully by keeping the engine above the pivot point of the swingarm there should be enough weight to get that rear wheel spinning. :) The only downside is that this means there is weight fairly high up, but it's ok in this case since theres pretty much no chance of this thing rolling. Also, the majority of the weight will be the wheels, the driver, and the engine.

About the swingarm, I'm not sure what you mean, but the swingarm pivots just below/behind the driver seat, and what you see in the render is the swingarm, the axles and everything are attached to it. It'd probably just be fiberglass panels over a standard swingarm.

I wondered what an experienced biker would think of this, so thanks heaps :)

this is great, what did you use to model and render it? if you dont mind me asking

Avatar L-X

 06/28/06 @104

I dont mind at all, I use Cinema4D 9.5 to model and render.

My modeling technique with this, and everything I create, is point to point. As reference I imported several sketches I'd done.

I hope I'm not the only one on this site wondering what the hell a 'swing arm' is...cos then I'd feel really silly!

What's to crit?...cool design, great layout...and yeah...I'd buy one!

Avatar L-X

 07/12/06 @008

Heh, I'm not a motorbike enthusiast, so I had to ask a mate for all the terminology to do with motorbikes, so aparntly the 'thing' that connects the rear wheel to the body is the swingarm, because it moves up and down as suspension.

Although, I could be totally wrong since I'm going by hearsay. :)
